I’ve been late to post a new update because – get excited! – I’ve been busy working on some commissioned pieces!
This first piece was for my writer friend’s new fantasy series, “Sword of the Saints, ” which you can find here. The sword is supposed to be like an arming sword with a double fuller, and was painted (with oils, as usual) on a 12×36″ canvas:
The second commission was based on a previous work I did this year (“The Howling Void”), but on a different sized canvas (18×18″) and with more blues and purples (the previous was more turquoises and purples). I’m calling this one “Skull and Stars,” and I like painting this skull art so much that I’m even offering a listing on Etsy for a custom skull painting like this if anyone else really loves the idea as much as we do 🙂
Finally, I’m (still, as you can see by the state of the second painting) working on a two-part commission of two spacescapes on 16×20″ canvases. The first is based on the top of one of the “Pillars of Creation” (look it up, there are some cool Hubble pictures!), and the second is based off of the “Seahorse Nebula” (also cool Hubble pictures!).
Lastly, I just wanted to let people know that I plan to start putting my November Waterfall paintings up for sale on Etsy, so stay tuned (or send me a message) if one piqued your interest and you think you may be interested. I hope everyone has a great weekend, as for myself, I need to get more painting done! 🙂
