February Newsletter
Hello everyone!  The monthly newsletter is here!  Included in each monthly update is art that I’ve completed in the past month, links to videos that I’ve created (timelapses or instructional videos) this month, art that I’ve put up for sale and that which will be going up for sale shortly, a description of the next monthly raffle and how to enter (it’s at the bottom if you’re antsy!), and any other artsy news.

If you like to see my work as it comes out or as I’m working on it, I post almost-daily on Facebook, Minds, and Instagram, and my videos will also be posted on my Youtube channel.  My original work is currently for sale on Etsy.

February Plans:

I mentioned in my last newsletter that I’m working on painting EVERY DAY.  So far, I’ve missed a few, but tried to “make up” for it by making more art the next day.  It’s difficult to make it “habit” even though I love painting!  I’m working on changing my schedule, and I just rearranged my workspace to make it so that there’s always SOMEthing to do, even if it’s a small thing.

February’s theme will be “oceans” – and I will do my best to *mostly* stick to seascapes instead of creatures, because while I love painting sea creatures, I want to save that for another month.

 

 

Last Month’s Artwork:

Spacescapes!  Tons and tons of space artwork!  Some are already in my Etsy store, and others will be up in my Etsy store soon.  I plan to list new items in my store every Thursday, if you’re watching for something particular (though you can also send me a message or email me!).

I also finished off another set of 50 mini-block paintings for Art-o-Mat!  I’m now up to 900!!!  All 900 Art-o-mat blocks can be seen on my page here.

Artwork for Sale:

If you’re interested in buying any of my original pieces, they will often be available on my Etsy site a few weeks after they’ve been painted – I will now be posting new items every Thursday.  If there is a piece that catches your eye that has not yet been put up for sale (such as any of the artwork posted in “last month’s artwork” above), feel free to send me a message and I will be happy to let you know what the price will be and you can have the chance to claim the painting before I put it up for sale officially!

Of the artwork shown above, about the first 12 are already listed in my store!

Since I enjoyed the last craft show so much, please feel free to let me know about any upcoming art/craft show/fairs that you’d like to see me attend (preferably in VA, though I wouldn’t mind looking a *little* farther too!); I’m new at this and can use all the help I can get!

 

Upcoming Raffle:

Every first Friday of every month, I will have a raffle, which you can enter to win something for free!  This month’s raffle will be on Friday, February 2nd (woo Groundhog’s Day!).  Let me know your top 2 favorites of these mini-prints (4×4″ prints matted in a 6×6″ frame) for a chance to win one of these framed mini-prints.  All you need to do to enter is to comment or send me a message on any of my social media posts, on my website, or directly to my email address (scenesbycolleen@gmail.com).  I will check everything before deciding the winners on Saturday.  Good luck and thanks for watching! 🙂
