December Newsletter
Hello everyone! The monthly newsletter is here! Included in each monthly update is art that I’ve completed in the past month, links to videos that I’ve created (timelapses or instructional videos) this month, art that I’ve put up for sale and that which will be going up for sale shortly, a description of the next monthly raffle and how to enter (it’s at the bottom if you’re antsy!), and any other artsy news.
If you like to see my work as it comes out or as I’m working on it, I post almost-daily on Facebook, Minds, and Instagram, and my videos will also be posted on my Youtube and VidMe channels. My original work is currently for sale on Etsy.

Last Month’s Artwork:
I finally finished the last of the 50 skulls paintings (you can see all on my projects page)!!! I just decided to scrap my original idea and just have fun with it, so here’s the result!
If you’d like more information on any of the skull paintings, you can visit here where I’ve been posting a little something about each one. All but the last one (and the ones that were bought) are listed in my Etsy store.
Most of this month has been dedicated to making a bunch of mini and little paintings as tests to see what kind of things people would like to see on a larger scale. If you like any of these in particular, let me know and I’ll work on larger versions!
I also finished off another set of mini-block paintings for Art-o-Mat! I’m now up to 750!!!
Finally, a couple of larger paintings, two for fun and one is the first of the favorites of the forest paintings – next month, you’ll see even more larger versions of the favorites of those above.

In terms of videos, the only one from this month is the last skull painting video, which you can see at the end of this Youtube playlist below (they’re also on my Vidme channel):

Artwork for Sale:
If you’re interested in buying any of my original pieces, they will often be available on my Etsy site a few weeks after they’ve been painted. If there is a piece that catches your eye that has not yet been put up for sale (such as any of the artwork posted in “last month’s artwork” above), feel free to send me a message and I will be happy to let you know what the price will be and you can have the chance to claim the painting before I put it up for sale officially!
On December 9th, I will be participating in an Arts-and-Crafts show (all handmade!) at a library in Richmond! If you’re interested, the details are below:
Upcoming Raffle:
Every first Friday of every month, I will have a raffle, which you can enter to win something for free! This month’s raffle will be on Friday, December 1st. Early in November, I decided to test out painting on small wood circles (I primed them first, of course) to see what I’d like. I also used some quick-drying medium since I wanted to test out some spray varnish on them after they had dried for a while. The results are below – a few magnets and a few ornaments (well, you could hang them anywhere, but I’ll call them ornaments). Just comment “magnet” or “ornament” for a chance to win one at random! If you like, you can also let me know which is your favorite 😀 All you need to do to enter is to comment or send me a message on any of my social media posts, on my website, or directly to my email address (scenesbycolleen@gmail.com).
