December 2018 Newsletter

December Newsletter
Hello everyone!  The monthly newsletter is here!  Included in each monthly update is art that I’ve completed in the past month, links to videos that I’ve created (timelapses or instructional videos) this month, art that I’ve put up for sale and that which will be going up for sale shortly, a description of the next monthly raffle and how to enter (it’s at the bottom if you’re antsy!), and any other artsy news.

If you like to see my work as it comes out or as I’m working on it, I post almost-daily on Facebook, Minds, Instagram, and Gab, and my videos will also be posted on my Youtube channel.  My original work is currently for sale on Etsy.

December Plans:

This month is going to be a little crazy for a few reasons: (1) The first few days of the month, I had a craft show!  Thank you to those of you that helped, as well as those who dropped by to say hi!  (2) I decided to paint ornaments in November, and a lot of people love them so I’m trying to get more done – but there are already some on Etsy if you’re interested.  (3) I’ve also taken on a few commissions, which I won’t be able to post pictures of until after I know they’ve been received (likely Christmas), and (4) I also plan to make a few things for my family for Christmas.  (5) Lastly, I feel like I didn’t get enough done last month, so I’ll also probably get a few more spacescapes done and whatever other crazy ideas come to mind after all the hullabaloo for the last ship date for the holiday season 😉  So… this month may be a bit sparse, but I promise to post all the cool things as soon as I can, and the next few months should be a lot of fun 😀

And one commission for a set of four 6×6″ cat paintings (which were much tougher than I expected – and no, I’m not looking to paint pet portraits regularly, but it was for a very good friend who has helped me out a lot recently):

My full videos (and a few real-time clips!) are available on YouTube and Facebook, and short clips of the full videos and real-time videos are also available on Instagram.  I managed to get two this month, and there may be another space-timelapse this month before Christmas if I have the chance/time/etc:

Artwork for Sale:

If you’re interested in buying any of my original pieces, they will often be available on my Etsy site a few weeks after they’ve been painted – I will now be posting new items every Thursday.  If there is a piece that catches your eye that has not yet been put up for sale (such as any of the artwork posted in “last month’s artwork” above), feel free to send me a message and I will be happy to let you know what the price will be and you can have the chance to claim the painting before I put it up for sale officially!
(Yes, I have been a little sporadic about posting recently, but more art will be up soon!)

Upcoming Raffle:

Every first Friday of every month, I will have a raffle, which you can enter to win something for free!  This month’s raffle will be on Friday, December 7th for a 2019 Calendar!  If you’d like a chance to win one, tell me your least favorite Christmas/ Holiday song (mwhahaha)!  All you need to do to enter is to comment or send me a message on any of my social media posts, on my website, or directly to my email address (scenesbycolleen@gmail.com).  I will check everything before deciding the winner on Saturday.  Good luck and thanks for watching! 🙂
